3. Basic education students’ attitudes toward electronic assessment in Sultanate of Oman

Abstract

Because of the change in evaluating students’ works due to covid19 Pandemic, it was necessity to shed the light on electronic assessment as a request in education these days. Therefore, the current research aimed to investigate female students’ attitudes toward electronic assessment on Google Classroom Platform. The research sample consisted of 220 female students in grades (7, 8, 9) in Al batina South Governorate in Sultanate of Oman. Descriptive design was used. The study used students’ attitudes scale prepared by AL-shemari (2021). The results indicated to the positive attitude toward electronic assessment in all dimensions (knowledge, emotion, behavior, technology). The result also revealed that there is no statistical differences in students’ attitudes toward electronic assessment attributed to gender.  Accordingly, the researcher made many recommendations aimed to improve the electronic assessment systems.
