Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the mechanisms utilized by the North West Evaluation Association (NWEA) in administering computer-based tests, specifically the MAP Test (Measure of Academic Progress), which is based on Modern Measurement Theory for the American curriculum. The study also examined the MAP Skills software, which follows up on test results to implement the three core concepts: Individualized Learning, Differentiated Learning, and Personalized Learning. This organization is distinguished by its widespread adoption in most schools that implement American curricula, operating across 145 countries and 9,500 schools.

The research employed a methodology based on the analysis of documents and studies issued by the organization. This was done to ascertain the practices it follows in achieving the three concepts for students (Differentiated Learning, Individualized Learning, and Personalized Learning). The study concluded that the organization sponsoring the platform is specialized in developing and implementing computer-based tests grounded in the one-parameter Rasch model of Modern Measurement Theory, demonstrating its capability to meet the diverse needs of students through Differentiated Learning, Individualized Learning, and Personalized Learning.
