5. Enhancing the Culture of Occupational Safety and Health in the Workplace

Abstract

This descriptive study examines the culture of occupational safety and health in the workplace. The current research addresses the concept of occupational safety and health, its objectives, and the importance of enhancing the culture of occupational safety and health. It also discusses the historical development of occupational safety and health, the stages of development of safety and health culture, and the factors influencing occupational safety and health culture. In addition, the study highlights the distinction between occupational safety and occupational health, the institutions responsible for worker protection and compensation for occupational hazards, key safety terminology, the positive elements of occupational safety, and methods for developing a culture of occupational safety.

The study concludes by emphasizing the importance of strengthening the culture of occupational safety and health among all elements of production.
