Abstract
This study aimed to identify the role of political parties in formulating Jordanian public policy for the period 2010-2022. This study relied on the analytical approach, the historical approach, the comparative approach, and the systems analysis approach.
The study reached the following results: the parties did not play an influential role in political life, for many reasons, I tried to identify the most important of them, such as the weakness of affiliation with parties, which is attributed to the mentality of individuals and their low level of awareness of the importance of partisan work, the weakness and similarity of programs, ideas and goals, and the absence of parties that express about a special national experience, and the absence of a clear vision of the challenges facing Jordan. And that there are some legislative obstacles to achieving an effective role for the Jordanian political parties and forces, such as election laws, the weakness of the parties themselves, their traditionalism, the lack of institutional structures for most of them, and the external influences that affect political activity.
The study recommends the need to create a culture that enhances strategies and indicators, affiliation to parties, and raising these indicators to the desired higher levels, through drawing up a general policy and a clear strategic vision, because of its impact on achieving comprehensive political development.
