The impact of modernizing the political system on youth participation in political life 1999-2023

Abstract

This research came to clarify the concept of political modernization and its relationship to the political system in the state, and to clarify the most important royal perceptions and visions seeking to modernize the political system in Jordan, and to explain the impact of the political modernization process on the participation of youth in Jordan during the study period between 1999-2023. The descriptive analytical approach was adopted mainly, as this approach works to identify the characteristics of a particular phenomenon, describes its nature, and determines the relationship between variables, trends, and causes that revolve around a particular problem, to prove the imposition of the study and answer its questions.

The research reached a set of results that came as a result of the work of the Committee to Modernize the Political System, in which the royal discussion papers were the main basis for its work, and the issuance of the electoral and parties laws for the year 2022 will contribute significantly to activating the participation of youth in political life.
