Abstract
The study examines the impact of social media networks on political mobilization from the perspective of faculty members at the University of Jordan and Middle East University. The descriptive-analytical method was employed, using a questionnaire distributed to 150 academically. The findings revealed that social media networks play a significant role in influencing public opinion, enhancing freedom of expression, promoting participation in decision-making, and exerting pressure on policymakers. The results further indicated that policymakers have responded to public demands by adjusting certain citizen-related policies. The study also showed that Facebook is the most widely used platform among Jordanians, both academically and publicly. Additionally, differences in views were found based on the type of institution, academic specialization, and university.
